General rules
Every lab task starts at 8 am and ends at 5 pm. Late arrivals are not tolerated.
At the beginning of every course, students gather in lab D (see Lab locations ) at 8 am. After the short introduction and safety instructions, students move to the corresponding laboratories and begin working on their lab tasks.
The number of the group corresponds with the first laboratory task (for example, group number 5 will begin with task number five - Spectrophotometry). See List of Laboratory Tasks.
Students are obliged to be fully equipped to successfully complete their laboratory tasks (lab manual, lab notebook, writing accessories, calculator, lab coat, chemical tables, and A4 paper for writing their laboratory protocol). In addition to the necessary equipment, students must have basic knowledge of the lab task to pass successfully the morning entrance test (see Test Rules).
In the case of failure in the entrance test, the student is graded with "F. This grade is included in the overall score. Students can repeat the laboratory task in an alternative term.
Based on submitted results and protocol, each laboratory task will be graded from "A" to "F". After an agreement with the assistant, the protocol can be submitted later ( maximum 2 days' delay). If a grade is missing in SIS, please contact the relevant assistant. If the submitted protocol is found to be plagiarized, the dean will be notified, and the student will repeat all seven laboratory tasks.
To earn classified credit, students must complete all seven laboratory tasks. Up to 2 of the 7 grades can be "F".
Results of every laboratory task can be reviewed via SIS.
